Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, but through a collaboration across continents, our expert team is focused on products that aim to create an enjoyable experience for people who want to participate in the timeless ritual of bread baking.

Our products aim to be a modest yet significant contribution to the tapestry of a tradition across home kitchens and bakeries around the world, evolved over thousands of years. Rather than looking for shortcuts that sacrifice quality, we aim to infuse artisan methods with new knowledge and technologies that focus on enjoyment, creativity, and appreciation.

The world of baking is vast and full of different approaches, shared via recipes passed down from family members, cookbooks, long-form YouTube videos, and even seconds-long video shorts. As bakers that grew up in a modern world full of endless responsibilities and information, we often found this information to be overly complex, or simplistic, and needlessly rigid at the same time. 

Ultimately, we hope Maison Fare helps you slow down, simplify, relax, and enjoy the beautiful and magical aspects of baking your own bread.

We use a high quality freeze dried culture that doesn’t require constant maintenance, unlike a wild sourdough starter

We provide a variety of options for bakers based on preference and kitchen configuration, instead of a one-size-fits-all recipe
